Eating On The Go - Our Favourite Flasks.

So it’s officially chilly, most of us have pulled the layers out from the back of the cupboard and are turning to hearty one pots and sunday roasts. If like us you love the outdoors you’re also probably switching up what you put in your backpack.

Food is always a priority when you’re out exploring, it’s important to keep hydrated but also to eat so the energy levels don’t drop. A sandwich doesn't always cut it when you’re cold though so we’ve been looking at flasks and there are loads to choose from. Here are a few that caught our eye..

First up is the Black+Blum Food Flask in Olive.

This perfectly compact food flask is ideal for keeping your soups, casseroles and stews hot and on warmer days fruit salads and ice cream cold, so it’s great all year round. The vegan leather strap holds the spoon in place while you`re on the go. Currently on a special offer at Body Kind - we love it, practical, yet stylish.

Next up is the Thermos Stainless King Food Flask

The insulated lid doubles up as a bowl and it includes a full size folding spoon. It comes in a range of colours, including duck egg, copper and matt black but we found this red one on offer at Amazon

Looking for something a little different we couldn’t resist the Hydro Flask, insulated food jar. Made so that you can take your favourite meal anywhere.

It’s TempShield™ insulation keeps cold foods cold and hot foods hot, it's leakproof with a soft-grip lid so it’s easy to open and a wide mouth design makes it convenient to eat from while on the go. BPA-Free and Phthalate-Free. Available to buy at Yards Store

If you’re on a budget, we found this little bargain, the Habitat Stainless Steel Vacuum Food Flask on sale at Argos

Ideal for soup or salad, this vacuum flask keeps your home prepped meal fresh and temperature-perfect when you're out and about. With a twist and pour stopper, wide opening and a lid that doubles as a dish, the brushed stainless-steel finish is stylish. With an easy-grip handle, you're good to go!

There are certainly loads on the market and colour and style is very much a thing. It’s great that your flask can last you all year long so you can switch between keeping food hot and cold. With your flask sorted, you need to decide on what to put in it and we are going for Good Food’s Warm Bean Salad, it takes 30 mins to prep and looks tasty!
